Lighthouse Road at Long Island Sound, Southold, NY 11971

Events:

Except for specific events under the direction of the Southold Historical Society or the Horton Point Lighthouse Committee, the event use of the grounds is restricted to Wedding Ceremonies only under 30 people limited to one hour and occurring one hour prior to dusk. No portable bathrooms, gazebos, decorations or tents will be allowed to be brought to the site. No weddings will be held in the tower of the lighthouse.

The playing of loud music or a live band is prohibited. Clean up must be handled by applicant and must be completed immediately following the scheduled event.

Applicant does not have to be a resident of the Southold Park District to have a ceremony on the grounds. For availability and use of grounds forms, call the Park District Secretary at 631-765-6019.

Parking:

Is open from 9AM to 5PM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day weekend. There is a $5.00 parking fee and it is only to be used for access to the grounds and visitation to the lighthouse museum.

It cannot be used to access the beach.

Hours:

The grounds are open all year from 9AM to dusk. The Lighthouse and Nautical Museum buildings are manned by volunteers and are open Memorial Day through Columbus Day on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30AM to 4PM.
