WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners wishes to maintain the properties under its control and responsibility in an orderly, clean and sanitary manner to ensure that the premises are suitable for the public’s continued use; and
WHEREAS, the District’s properties do not have the infrastructure or facilities to accommodate overnight use of the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners declares that overnight visits, camping, or use of District properties for overnight accommodation of any type are prohibited.

Bathing Beach/Park Opening 2025
Founders Landing Park-Lifeguards will be on duty seven days per week beginning Saturday June 28th, 2025 from 11am to 5pm at Founders Landing Park, 1025 Terry Lane, Southold, NY.
Park Attendants will be on duty at Founders Landing Park from 9am to 5pm to provide permits to Southold Park District property owners only: Saturday June 21st & Sunday June 22rd, 2025.
Thereafter, permits may be obtained seven days per week starting Saturday, June 28th, 2025 through Labor Day, Monday, September 1st, 2025, from 9am to 5pm at Founders Landing Park, 1025 Terry Lane, Southold, NY. Please be sure to have your car registration and ID with you or by mail to PO Box 959, Southold NY 11971. Please include your name, mailing, physical address, phone number, copy of car registration & your ID. Permits for non-property owners are as follows-Seasonal-$160.00, Weekly-$50.00. No other permits will be available
Emerson Park (South Harbor Park)-5345 South Harbor Road, Southold, NY will be open 7 days a week starting Saturday June 28th, 2025 through Labor Day September 1st, 2025. Mon-Wed 11am-4pm and Thurs-Sun 9am-5pm, weather permitting. Gates will open/close at time specified and all vehicles must be vacated as the gates will be closed/locked.
