WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners wishes to maintain the properties under its control and responsibility in an orderly, clean and sanitary manner to ensure that the premises are suitable for the public’s continued use; and
WHEREAS, the District’s properties do not have the infrastructure or facilities to accommodate overnight use of the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners declares that overnight visits, camping, or use of District properties for overnight accommodation of any type are prohibited.
ANNUAL ELECTION OF THE SOUTHOLD PARK DISTRICT
On April 14, 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the Southold Park District will take place on April 14, 2026 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the Southold Park District offices located in the Wharf House, 1025 Terry Lane, Southold, New York for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a three (3) year term commencing April 14, 2026 and ending April 14, 2029. All persons residing in the District at least 30 days prior to the election and registered to vote with the Suffolk County Board of elections at least 23 days before the election shall be eligible to vote.
Candidates for District Office shall have names filed in petition form, signed by twenty-five qualified voters of the district, with the Secretary of the Southold Park District, on or before April 10th, 2026. The form of petition is available from the District Secretary at Southold Park District, P.O. Box 959, Southold, NY 11971 (631) 765-6019.

Notice is hereby given to all tax paying residents within the Southold Park District that the boat slips at the
Young’s Avenue Park will again be available in 2026. Only one application will be accepted per household.
The 2026 fee for use of the slips will be $60.00 per foot and the season will run from Friday, May 1st. 2026
through Sunday, November 1st, 2026.
The following boat size restrictions apply:
Boats will be limited to:
•. 21 feet or less in length
•. 7 foot or less beam
•. 12” or less draft
All “letters of intent” must be submitted in writing stating the following information:
• applicant’s name (residing in Southold Park District)
• street address (Southold Park District resident address)
•. mailing address, Telephone number(s) and email
• Description of watercraft including length, beam, draft, color and NYS identification number. (VIN)
• Copy of your boat registration (stating your physical address in Southold Park District)
Applicant must also submit a filing fee in the form of a check or money order in the amount of $100.00 made payable to “Southold Park District” which will be applied to the slip fee if the applicant is a lottery winner or will be returned if the applicant is a non-winner. Filing fees for lottery winners who do not use the winning slips will be retained by the Southold Park District.
Letters must be postmarked no later than Friday, March 20th, 2026 and mailed to:

The boat slip lottery will be held on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at 7pm at Founders Landing Wharf House. If the total number of applicants exceeds the number of slips available (18), all applications will be placed into a lottery where the first drawn will have slip numbers assigned by the Commissioners. The Commissioners will assign the slips according to the size and draft of the boats.
Notice is hereby given to all tax paying property owners within the Southold Park District that Kayak Slips at South Harbor Beach will be available in 2026. Only one application for ONE Kayak will be accepted per household.
The 2026 fee for use of the slips will be $60.00 and the season will run from Sunday May 31st, 2026 through Monday October 12th, 2026.
The following “letters of intent” must be submitted in writing stating the following information:
